Family Funsails

A 2-hour introduction to sailing with one of our US certified sailing instructors aboard our 26' J80 Sailboats: Beginners Welcome!
Based on the tidal conditions and wind direction, our instructors will take you on a journey down the Cape Fear River or the Atlantic Ocean!

Offered 7 days a week. 

$75 per person.
Limit 4-5 people per boat*


*For parties of 6-10 people, ask about using both boats 

J80 Lessons

-US Certified Instructors-

This is a great option for someone looking to get a real hands-on experience. 
The Sail Shop offers a 3 hour lesson that provides students with a basic overview of wind, rigging and sailing. For a more detailed lesson we encourage students to take our 12-hour lesson, done over a 4-day period.

Ages 13-Adult

$150 per person, 3 hr. Intro
$450 per person, four 3 hr. sessions

Youth Sailing

-US Certified Instructors-

For Children ages 8-13 yrs. we offer youth sailing lessons aboard our fleet of Optimist Pram sailboats. 
Youth Lessons are a great way for students to become the captain of their own boat!
All lessons are done in Bald Head Creek. 
One to Four day lessons are provided Mon-Friday. For a more detailed lesson we encourage students to take our 12-hour lesson, done over a 4-day period.

$100 per person, 3 hr. Intro
$350 per person, four 3r. sessions
